Foodways Inc. is a company working to improve how the world eats and has access to food. They are producers of ideas and processes deployed across all levels of the food industry. Working with food brands, farmers, manufacturers, and consumers, they link culinary ideation with innovative food technology to create viable solutions at scale.

As a reflection of the molecular to macro-logistic scales of the business, we zoomed out to aerial photography capturing agricultural landscapes and intricate river systems. These “rivermarks” became the foundation for the visual identity system. The organic calligraphic flow of the rivermarks, balanced against the precise technologies developed by Foodways, translated directly to the letterforms of the logotype. While the type and logo system is organized into an underlying grid, the color palette is an infinite field of green—evolving as the brand grows.
